Below is a piece of work commissioned by the Otter Gallery in Chichester. Along with the piece titled Ream it has been on display this Summer as part of the Otter Gallery's Cut It Out show. Cut It Out has been supported by the Millais Gallery, Southamton Solent University and will be in the Maidstone Museum and Bentlif Art Gallery until Feb 7th 2010.
Digging Words was made to be shown in a library, some of the figures, little more than 2cm tall, toil at digging deep down into the book they stand on. Others rest beside minute buckets and spades whilst book dust and debris scatters across the pages.
